How do I take part?

All you need to do is register for a TUTOR Parent Account and connect to your child's account before the Half-Term holiday.

Steps to connect your
TUTOR Parent Account:

Step 1

Check if your child's school is amongst the group of participating schools in our TUTOR Competition using the list to the right.

If you school does not have TUTOR, click below to access a letter you're free to use and send to your child's Head of Department to advocate TUTOR.

Step 2

If your child's school is amongst the group participating in our TUTOR Competition, you now need to create your free Parent View Account.

Already registered? Go directly to Step 3.

To register, we'll just need a few quick details from you:

Email address
First and Last name
Password

You'll then be sent a verification code to confirm your account.

Click the button below to register:

Step 3

Log out of your newly created Parent account and you'll need to now access your child's account to connect them.

Your child will need to login and you will locate your child's Unique Token.

Login in to your child's TUTOR Account
On their dashboard, scroll to the "My Memberships" section
Note the Unique Token in this section & copy it — you'll enter this token into your account
Log off of your child's account and log into your account

Step 4

Now you have your child's Unique Token and your Parent account logged in, you can now link up your accounts, giving you access to your child's learning.

Go to the 'Manage Family' Page
In the 'Children' section, click 'Add a Child'
Select the 'My child is already using TUTOR' option
Enter your child's Unique Token
Confirm this linking

You can now keep track of your child's learning including their course, awards and progression through our mathematical universe.

What is the Complete Mathematics TUTOR programme?

Complete Mathematics TUTOR is an online maths platform designed to be an affordable, but equally effective, alternative to private tuition. TUTOR covers every level of maths from learning to count all the way up to calculus, and pupils can choose to follow a set course, or let TUTOR choose the right starting point for them.

TUTOR breaks maths topics down into points called ‘Goals’ that together make up the whole Map of Maths. Every Goal follows the same learning sequence: based on evidence of how we learn and drawing on the neuroscience of memory, we can assess the underlying (or 'pre-requisite') knowledge needed for each point on the map, and then through expert instruction, practice questions and quizzing, make sure that point is learned and remembered, in around 15-20 mins.

TUTOR contains over 1,600 Goals, so there will always be a new topic for pupils to explore!

How can I support my child using TUTOR?

You can support your child by encouraging them to log in from home and work through the videos and quizzes available to them.

Your child’s teacher can also see how many quizzes they have completed, and which courses they are working on — this means teachers can use the information from TUTOR to support your child in their maths lessons even more effectively.

Typically, getting a private tutor is expensive, your school's partnership with Complete Mathematics makes this possible at a very affordable, or free, rate through the TUTOR Movement (see below).

Support the TUTOR Movement — Donation Sponsorship

Your school program with Complete Maths TUTOR is at a deeply discounted rate and FREE for those who choose.

Should you want to participate in their donation movement to provide those other pupils with financial constraints it is only 75p a week! Parents participating in this contest will have this sponsorship discount opportunity and only pay £26.50 for those in financial need until September! In fact, this is a huge discount from the commercial price to typically sponsor a pupil of £3.33 per week. We ask that those who can pay to please sponsor those who cannot.

With the support of parents who can afford it, we can deliver the benefits of tuition to every single pupil by paying it forward to those in need, regardless of their background or socioeconomic status.

When registering for your account, you will be prompted if you would like to sponsor a pupil in need, so please consider this option.
